Although winter is still officially 8 days away (and today the temperature reached the double digits) it has, at times, felt like we’ve moved into the next season.
No major storms hit us this Fall, at least, and the landscape at Ironwood continues to provide much inspiration.
And some mornings it feels like a completely new world…
This will be our first winter with sheep. They’ve all settled into their new winter housing in the extension of the big barn, but when these photos were taken, Luke was still up across from the greenhouse. He seemed only slightly surprised by the white, bright surroundings, and was easily distracted by a good scratch behind the ear.
The pictures and stories have been accumulating since they all made their move to the other barn…but those will have to wait for another post (which will hopefully be more frequent with the acquisition of a new computer and a few extra hours over the Winter Break). No promises, just good intentions. hj
